Course Description

Start your race  at the Village Green beside the iconic WW1 Statue. Head off towards Timaru, passing the Railway Terrace entrance before reaching the concrete culvert on the grassy area opposite Morah. Here, you'll take a sharp left. Follow Gray Street as it winds around, passing Mackenzie Street, then cross over Talbot Road. Continue along Gray Street, passing Argyll Street, until you reach the entrance to the Domain.

Once in the Domain, you'll loop around the bottom of the flying fox, glide past the back of the Ice-Skating Rink, and make your way toward the River Track. Turn right here and let the adventure begin.

Descend the River Track to O'Connors Lane (an extension of Talbot Road), where you'll take a left turn, heading down towards the river. Navigate a slight right, then a left bend as you cross the river and find yourself on a farm track leading into a wide-open paddock. Cross the paddock to exit onto Tondros Road.

Keep going straight into a farm lane, clearly signposted. As you veer left, you'll enter another paddock. Follow the well-marked arrows guiding you around the paddock to the deer lane down to the deer shed. Exit the lane with a right turn back onto Tondros Road.

This road will lead you to a hard right-hand corner, where you'll take a left back into the paddock you crossed earlier. From here, it's a straightforward run as you follow the river track back into the Domain. This time, turn left onto Gray Street, cross over to turn right into Talbot Road, and cross again onto the concrete path leading back to the Village Green, where the finish chute awaits.

Get ready to experience the thrill and beauty of the Mackenzie Half Marathon!
