Course Description

Start your race at the Village Green, across the grass from the Public Toilets. Begin your journey by heading towards Timaru, down Railway Place and around the concrete culvert opposite Moreh. Turning left, you’ll follow Gray St, then turn right into Mackenzie St. Then left on Talbot Rd, turning right into Buchanan Street. Turn right into Riverview Terrace then left to enter the Fairlie Domain. Here, you'll head onto the River Track.

As you descend the River Track to O'Connors Lane (an extension of Talbot Road), you’ll venture left towards the river, crossing it and entering a farm track leading to Tondros Rd. Your first drink station awaits at the corner, which you'll visit again on your return.

From the drink station, follow the sign that says 10km through the gate into a paddock. Follow the clearly marked shingle lane. Turn right into the deer lane. Follow the lane to the deer shed where you will turn right at the end of the tape onto Tondros Road. This takes you back to the drink station where you will turn left and retrace your tracks back to the domain (through the river and river track).

This time from Riverview Terrace turn left into Buchanan then right onto Talbot Road crossing Gray Street before turning left into the Village Green, where the finish chute awaits.

Get ready to experience the thrill and beauty of the 10km River Dip!
