Fairlie has many accommodation options to suit everyone. We are so appreciative of the support we have from many of the accommodation providers. They help to keep this event running and provide some amazing spot-prizes for you on race day. Check out the links below and support the businesses that support us.

 

In and around Fairlie you will find Air BnB houses, motels and campsites. Make sure you book in quickly before these are all booked out for race weekend.

Not far away, yet still within the Mackenzie District, you can find a range of accommodation options in Tekapo or even Twizel.

Make a weekend of it and stay to explore the area. The Mackenzie District has so much to offer so stay for a couple nights and explore the region.

Gladstone Hotel

The Gladstone Hotel offers a bar and restaurant along with accommodation facilities. There are 17 rooms offering super king beds, queen beds, twin shares and single rooms. There is also a TV room and plenty of parking.

The restaurant opens at 5pm every day and they have a large menu catering for all budgets. Gladstone Hotel caters for private functions, meetings and parties for all occasions.

Silverstream Hotel

The Silverstream Hotel Kimbell is the Mackenzie Region’s historic country pub. Come in to experience it yourself – warm up by the fireplace, enjoy a mulled wine, hot buttered spiced rum or craft beer on tap, and taste test their Kimbell Burgers. All enjoyed either inside the pub or in the expansive beer garden. Weekly meal specials, desserts, a kids menu, as well as take-away options are also available.

Established in 1877, the “New Stone Hotel” – as it was referred to in its very first advertisement in the Timaru Herald – “has been fitted up with every Convenience for the accommodation of Travellers, Private Families, Picnic and Wedding Parties. The Scenery in the neighbourhood is extremely beautiful and well worthy of the attention of tourists. Wines, Ales and Spirits of the Choicest Brands.” The same remains true today. The Secure Paddocks for travelling Stock that can still be arranged!

The Silverstream Hotel Kimbell is easily found – follow State Highway 8 ten minutes up from Fairlie or twenty minutes down the road from Tekapo.
